Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: 2.5.8
PHP version: 5.3.17
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: VentraIP
Akeeba Backup version: 3.6.11

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Installed 3.6.10, selected the appropriate checkboxes, went through the config page, last page with two buttons [Backup] and [Configuration]. Selecting either of these produced a blank page.

Tried to reinstall the same package as directed in Troubleshooting, same result.

Gave up for several days.

Downloaded 3.6.11. Loaded it up to the tmp directory and installed from there. Same result as 3.6.10.

Changed Global Config to Development, accessed the AB menu option. PHP error log showed:

Hello Ian,

Please update the other Akeeba eXtensions you have installed on your site, e.g. Admin Tools, Akeeba Release System and Akeeba Subscriptions. The error message you are getting tells me that you have a very old version (published before May 2012) of one of those extensions.

OK, I renewed my subscription to Tools, downloaded the latest version, and now Backup works.

Many thanks,
