Akeeba Backup version: 3.6.12

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: Backup and restore had been working very well, however backup stopped working after doing a point restore (which saved my butt BTW, so I'm not too upset overall) but backup has been out of commission for a week now and I'm geting a bit nervous.

Try removing all .php and .dat files from your administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup directory and your site's temp-directory (usually the tmp folder in your site's root). If that doesn't work you'll have to uninstall and reinstall Akeeba Backup but please note that this will cause all your existing settings and backups to be lost.
