Joomla! version: 2.5.4
PHP version: 5.2.15
MySQL version: 5.1.66cll
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: Pro 3.5.2

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: Over a long time the backup on the site fails often. Lately it has failed each day. The previous tech who was looking after the site has not been able to get the backup running successfully. I am now turning to Akeeba to help fix this. I have followed the documentation, including running the Wizard, changing things such as the Split Archives and Executing Time. My last attempt was to run the Wizard to see if that would help. However the backup still fails.Β 

Attached is the latest log file from a backup I have just tried to run manually.

Please try the following settings:

  • Minimum execution time: 0.5 seconds
  • Maximum execution time: 5 seconds
  • Runtime bias: 75%

If this doesn't work please ZIP and attach the new backup log file.

Your versions of PHP, Joomla! and Akeeba Backup are not supported. I believe you are bitten by a bug in the very old Akeeba Backup version you're using. At least try updating Joomla! to 2.5.6 and Akeeba Backup to 3.6.12 Professional, try taking a new backup and if it doesn't work send me the new log. I can't provide support when I know that there's a good chance that the issue is caused by a bug I have fixed months ago.
