EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: Hi there!
I have installed Akeeba Pro on about 8 or 9 sites so far with no error messages or hangups at all.

On the first 5, I backedup, but on the last 3 or 4 sites that I have installed the Backup does not show in the Admin Tools section nor is there an icon in the Joomla Control Panel.

Hello Dale,

Akeeba Backup should show under the Components menu of your site's back-end. It's not supposed to be displayed inside the Admin Tools component.

Regarding the icon, that's rendered by the "Quick Icon - Akeeba Backup Notification" plugin. Please make sure that this plugin is published and its access is set to Public.
