Mandatory information about my setup:

Joomla! version: 2.5.9
PHP version: 5.2.17
MySQL version: not sure if i hae the correct number or not 5.5.23
Host: (hostgator)
Akeeba Backup version: 

Installed version 3.6.12  



EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

it said i needed to update my version of akeeba to Latest version 3.7.3. i get an error when i try to do that.

  • JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
  • Invalid package type. The update can not proceed.

I followed instructions, etnered the download id and still same error message when i try updating the akeeba

i had and same thing. i did again and now it appears to work. thanks

Sometimes it takes two click on the refresh button, that's why I asked. I'm glad it's all working now!
