Joomla! version: 3.0.3
PHP version: 5.3.22
MySQL version: 5.5.27
Host: STRATO
Akeeba Backup version: 3.7.4 Pro

Description of my issue:

After updating to Akeeba 3.7.4 we receive an Ajax Load Error, 500.

We already tried to change custom settings for min / max execution time as mentioned in ticket #15455 but with no success. Quota is sufficient.

Any ideas?

The backup engine has not changed since Akeeba Backup 3.6.12. The update cannot be related with the error message. I also don't see any error in your log. I would suggest trying to set the part size for split archives to 5Mb as this is required due to crappy server settings on Strato.

Hi Nicholas,

thank you very much for your very fast answer! And, like always your tip did the trick.

By changing "Part size for split archives to 5MB" backup is working fine.

Greetings from Munich.

You're welcome, Frank! These are known issues with Strato, 1und1 and several smaller hosts, mostly in Europe and very common among our German users :) Just for future reference, keep in mind that our Configuration Wizard automatically detects these limits and applies this work around. If you ever find yourself in a similar siutation, the first course of action should be trying the Configuration Wizard on a new backup profile. If that profile still fails it's time to file a support request for me to take a look, otherwise just copy the part size for split archive and time settings from the new profile to your regular backup profile.
