Description of my issue:

Hello,

Tonight i took a backup with the latest Akeeba backup pro, i transfer the .jpa to a directory under the same domain name (ive done this 1000's of times before).

This is the first time i have retored with that new retortaion script/template....

It all worked, but when I went to login, it gave me the error below and changed the URL in the address bar to the root domain:

The most recent request was denied because it contained an invalid security token. Please refresh the page and try again.

The Main site that i took a backup from is here:

http://www.cbpub.co/administrator/

and the location of my restored site is here:

http://www.cbpub.co/dev/mailchimp/administrator/

It doesnt matter what i do, I can't log into my new restored site at: http://www.cbpub.co/dev/mailchimp/administrator/

Any ideas as to why this has happened?

As i have said, i have used akeeba backup maybe 1000 times before under the same domain name, and never seen this behaviour before.

Thanks for your help..

John

EDIT:

There is also display issues in the front end as well.

I was presented with these error codes upon home page load:

Login issue: clear your browser cache, restart the browser and retry.

File not found: This is unrelated to the restoration script. Did you back up those files or did you exclude this folder? Remember that the restoration script DOES NOT extract your files. That's what Kickstart does and it's not been changed since October 2012.

Sorry, I just observed something. Redo the restoration. In the Site Setup page DO NOT CLICK NEXT. There is a setting called "Live Site URL". Set it to:

http://www.cbpub.co/dev/mailchimp

or set it to blank (nothing typed in the box). I believe that's the source of both of your issues.

ABI, the old restoration script, had a bug: it NEVER populated this field by default. Even if it was set in your configuration.php file it ignored it. Due to this bug you could blindly click on Next through the restoration and the site would most likely work. ANGIE has fixed this stupid bug. Unfortunately this means that you have to pay attention to the restoration page.

You are probably right, i dont remember seeing that setting in the new interface....the new interface is quite different with what seems to be some new settings....

I assume thats the issue. Ill try again now

Thanks,

John

EDIT: by the way, it wasnt a caching issue...I always load things in a different browser...and i always keep one browser that i only use for testing problems, never for anything else, so that caching can't be a factor.

Yes, it's not caching. When I compared the URL you are restoring to with the URL of the image I realised that the wrong path is being used. That's why I posted my second reply. I've helped another user with the same problem yesterday. When I saw the URL difference it just "clicked into place". Please redo the restoration and let me know.
