EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Is it possible to take database backup regularly (automatically) and restore automatically on the remote server?

No, it's not. Even though you could automate the backup and transfer, automating the restoration is not possible. It would require software running on the remote server to carry out the restoration.

Thanks. So if we have akeeba software on the other server, can we set auto restoration? or restoration is always manual?

It would require a different kind of software than Akeeba Backup. Akeeba Backup is designed to take backups. The integrated restoration is basically an archive extraction tool and it then transfers control to the full site installation script embedded inside the (now extracted) backup archive. You need an unattended database-only restoration software. We don't have such a thing.

Working hours: We are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm Cyprus timezone (EET / EEST). Support is provided by the same developers writing the software, all of which live in Europe. You can still file tickets outside of our working hours, but we cannot respond to them until we're back at the office.
