Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: (2.5.9)
PHP version: (5.3.24)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: (unknown)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Its not a huge issue, but I am trying to disable the automated update notification system. In your notes you say:
All you have to do is to please disable the ''Akeeba Backup Update Notification'' and/or "System - One Click Action" plugins on your site by going to the Extensions, Plugin Manager menu item on your site's back-end, find the plugins in question and unpublish them.

I don't have these plugins, please see the attached screengrab for the plugins I can see on my Joomla! backend:

http://screencast.com/t/tzKu1FTgdU

So are these the correct plugins to disable in order to stop the update notifications being sent?

Many thanks.

The Akeeba Backup Update Check (not Notification, we renamed it but probably the old name stuck somewhere in our language strings or documentation) is already unpublished, therefore you're note supposed to be receiving update notifications from this site. If you still get update notifications it's probably from a forgotten dev / staging site on the same or another server being triggered.

Thanks Nicholas,

I disabled both the 'Quick Icon - Akeeba Backup Notification' and the 'System - Akeeba Backup Update Check' plug-ins before mailing you.

I shall reinstate the 'System - Akeeba Backup Update Check' plug-in, and keep the 'Quick Icon - Akeeba Backup Notification' disabled.

Thanks for your help.
