Joomla! version: 2.5.9
PHP version: 5.2.17
MySQL version: 5.1.68-cll
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version: Akeeba Backup Professional 3.6.5

Description of my issue:

Doing a CRON Job Backup all works well until end
then the error below:

An error has occurred:
Couldn't write to the SQL dump file /public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup/955c371a.sql; check the temporary directory permissions and make sure you have enough disk space available.

I have Admin Tools as well as Backup. Could this be a security / permissions problem
due to Enhanced .htaccess or Admin Tools? If so could you suggest an exception
that i could do / write to fix the problem.

A VERY Happy Akeeba Subscriber

Hello Jim,

No, it cannot be caused by the .htaccess. As the message says, you are either running out of disk space or the permissions are wrong. Do note that running the backup from a command line (CRON does count as command line) means that it runs under a different user than your site. Therefore the temporary directory –which is the same as the output directory as far as Akeeba Backup, and only Akeeba Backup, is concerned– may be unwriteable. You can always do what I do: create a different backup profile for your command line backups and set an output directory outside your site's root, with proper ownership and permissions to make the backup possible.
