Description of my issue:

i have moved a copy of my site to a testing server on cloudaccess.net because when i updated from joomla 2.5.9 to joomla 2.5.11 my site crashed on my current non-joomla centric host... i am trying to update akeeka backup professional and it seems to want to take me to my regular live site when i try to upgrade akkekka backup...instead of my testing server... that is, it wants me to log into my joomla backend at wwww. mysitename.com instead of goiing to my testing server on cloudaccess.net... my question is: does my subscription to akeeka backup professional only allow me to use it on one domain or something like that? thanks.

i am also having all kinds of login problems after restoring my site with akeeka backup pro...

I believe that you have one of the following issues:
  • .htaccess redirection
  • wrong $live_site URL in your configuration.php
  • VirtueMart or another extension which uses hard-coded URLs pointing to the old domain name
  • A SEF or SEO component which uses hard-coded URLs pointing to the old domain name
