Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? No

Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: 2.5.11
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: hostgator
Akeeba Backup version: 3.7.7

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I have just updated a site to the latest 3.7.7 and I have gone to a profile I have configured to backup to dropbox, in the dropbox setting I had already set a limitation to 100MB for my files to avoid the 150MB limit problem. I'm having issues with that site so I have run the wizard to get the best configuration (based on your wisdom ;)). After running the wizard the dropbox file size limit has increased to 2 GB so obviously the backup is not going to work. Wouldn't it be easier to not allow files higher than 150MB to dropbox or at least detect that in the configuration wizard and limit the size?

thank you very much.

Normally if you use the Configuration Wizard the post-processing method changes to None automatically. It does some assumptions and is meant to break post-processing when you use it :)

Hi Nicholas,
thank you very much for your response.

As when upgrading the component you can choose to run the configuration wizard and actually you can do it whenever you want, I think it might be a good idea detecting some post-processing and not changing values accordingly or at least showing a warning. I'm surprised you did not get a complaint about that yet :P.

Anyway, just a suggestion ;)

It's probably owning to the fact that I have documented its exact behaviour ;)

Yes, because users read docs :P

When they complain, I tell them to read the fine manual (with a link) ;)
