Mandatory information about my setup:

Joomla! version: 2.5.11
PHP version: 5.3.3-7
MySQL version: 5.1.66-0+squeeze1
Host: prodisc.com.mx
Akeeba Backup version: 3.7.7pro

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I get an error 500 when the backup is completed and it's post-processing the files, I didn't get that error earlier today. Is it a Dropbox issue or my server having problems? I read the logs and couldn't get a clue.

Can you double your part size for split archives and try again? If that still fails, please ZIP and attach the backup log file. Thank you!

I'm keeping it under the allowed 140mb and reduced it, and still got the error 500 while post processing, I don't get this error when using IDrive Sync so I'm gessing it's dropbox related.

I'm attaching the log.

Hm, I think I know what the problem is. First some background info so that I don't sound too crazy in my solution :)

When Akeeba Backup creates a multipart backup archive the last part is always the smallest one and has an extension of (surprise!) .jpa. So, let's say you have a 5 Mb backup with a part size of 2Mb. The file names and part sizes generated are:
archive.j01 - 2Mb (first part)
archive.j02 - 2Mb (second part)
archive.jpa - 1Mb (third and final part)

The order the files are uploaded is a bit messed up: first the .jpa, then the .j01, then .j02 and so on.

So, what happened in your case is that the smallest part file (.jpa) was uploaded. The next one timed out. Since uploading to DropBox is slow, can you try reducing the part size drastically, to 5Mb? If that works try increasing it until you find the sweet spot.
