EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
My backup fails, I am trying to install the lates version of akeeba, but get the following error: Jinstaller cannot find XML setup file.

Can you please help me.

Can you please provide the mandatory information you omitted above? I really need them to be able to help you. Right now all I know is that you have some version of Akeeba Backup installed somewhere on a Joomla! site running one of the Joomla! versions released in the past 5 years, on a PHP version released in the last 6 years which may or may not have something to do with your issue. It's not much to go by. It could a PHP issue, Joomla! version issue, a missing / wrong Download ID or a server issue. I don't have any information to make an educated guess which of those may be the case :(

You need PHP 5.3 or later to install the update. Did you read the release information?

Backup is successful after many attempts

Support Information
