Description of my issue: Akeeba backup crashes every time I attempt to make a backup of my Joomla site. It has never worked properly since I installed it, although initially it gave a success message saying it had backed up one file. After I tried changing some of the settings as recommended in the troubleshooter articles and other tickets, it stopped giving the success message and now it gives the following message:

Backup Failed
The backup operation has been halted because an error was detected.
The last error message was:

AJAX Loading Error
HTTP Status: 500 (Internal Server Error)
Internal status: error
XHR ReadyState: 4
Raw server response:

Thanks!

Your folder security settings do not allow PHP to produce a listing of the files and folders in the site's root. The site's root and all folders included inside it (and their subdirectories of any level) must allow the IIS user to list their contents and read them. Moreover, all files of your site must allow the IIS user to read them. Unfortunately I cannot help with that as the exact procedure you have to follow is dependent on your server setup and your host. Please ask your host for support, showing them your request and my reply.
