I am trying out Godaddy as a possible replacement for 1and1.com and it looked fine until I tried to use akeeba backup pro to extract a .jpa of a 2.5 Rockettheme site. I received this: - Invalid AJAX data received: Invalid archive type or extension in file - (during the using of preview dns) the domain has not transferred yet to godaddy nameservers.

I made sure this was not solved before the new topic. Using Kickstart 3.5.2 on FF - Chrome and Safari

Thanks - sorry I couldnt figure it out.

You gave up a bad host for the absolutely worst host out there? Oh, dear... You signed up for a world of pain. Please do yourself a favour. Cancel your subscription with GoDaddy now that it's still not too late. Do sign up with a real host which know what they're doing, such as SiteGround, Rochen or CloudAccess.

Regarding your issue, your backup is broken, partial or not uploaded correctly. Moreover, you are trying to restore to a temporary URL which isn't supported (and definitely doesn't work on GoDaddy).

Hi nicholas...thanks..sincerely....I have a client who has an IT guy who LOVES Godaddy.. so i had too... but only this one out of 65 clients.. I respect your opinion very much and your level of excellence... and I am looking at Siteground - their shared hosting plan fits within my budget... I may look at inmotion hosting as well... thanks again...
