Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? yes (kickstart troubleshooting sections)
Have I searched the tickets before posting? yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? yes
Joomla! version: 2.5.11
PHP version: 5.3.24
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: 54.244.250.180
Akeeba Backup version: 3.7.10

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: I am attempting to restore an archive file to a new server (Amazon Web Services - EC2). After installing Akeeba Backup and uploading the kickstart files/archive file, I continue getting the following error message for random files "Could not open ______ for writing." (i.e. Could not open installation/angie/language/ for writing.)

Currently, it's giving me the error message saying that it could not open all the language files for writing. So I started by finding the language files, uploading them to the server and changing the permissions. This satisfies each error message, but it just goes to the next file and it's beginning to take way too long. Plus, I've used kickstart numerous times for other websites, and it has never given me these error messages asking for various files. I found it especially odd that it is requiring me to have all these foreign language pack files just to restore an archive file.

I guess I could technically find each file the error messages refer to, but I just assumed there is something I'm doing wrong since I've never had this issue before.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
