Description of my issue:

i have disabled the main.php in the admintools system plugins, but i am still being blocked. what should i do?

Hello Pamela,

If you rename that file Admin Tools' code no longer runs. Alternatively you can rename the plugins/system/admintools directory to zzz-disabled and Joomla! can no longer load the plugin at all. If your problem persists it has nothing to do with Admin Tools.

thanks, this worked, but i am puzzled that even though i specified my ip address as never to be blocked it was still blocked... what could be causing this problem? thanks

If you only entered it in the Administrator IP Whitelist but you have not enabled the whitelist feature in the Configure WAF page it's normal. All IPs in the administrator whitelist are ignored when the whitelist feature is disabled.
