Description of my issue:

I installed Akeeba Backup in my Joomla site a few weeks ago and set it to make the backup at Rackspace CloudFiles and everything just worked fine.

The site is getting bigger (more than 500mb now), as we are working on it, now at the very end of the backup process, the server response keeps counting over 60 secs and then sends an error.
I can see that locally the backup is done but is not sent to Rackspace. I´ve done step by step what the trouble guide says but no good results.

Thanks for your help.

Please go to Components, Akeeba Backup and make sure the backup profile which sends the files to RackSpace CloudFiles is selected. If not, select it from the dropdown above the icons. Then click on Configuration. Find the Archiver Engine row and click on the Configure button next to it. Select a smaller Part Size for Split Archives. Values between 10-20 Mb usually work best, but you can do some trial & error to see what is the largest value you can safely use on your host.

Further information can be found in our documentation: https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/akeeba-backup-documentation/step-by-step-guides.html#how-to-cloud-backup-basic-config

Thanks for your help Nicholas!
Now I have learned that 256mb is a good size for Rackspace CloudFiles, everything seems to be working fine now.

I have read the Split Archive section when I first installed Akeeba Backup, but it worked with a 465mb site so I totally forgot that when the site grew up to more than 500mb.
