Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes - and made one.com settings
Joomla! version: 3.1.5
PHP version: 5.3.27
MySQL version: 5.1.66-0+squeeze1
Host: one.com
Akeeba Backup version: 3.8.2

Description of my issue:
- no file generated to attach - folder empty: /administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup
- same issue on 2 different sites/domains
(one of the sites have been working)
- same issue with free and paid version.

Backup Failed

The backup operation has been halted because an error was detected.
The last error message was:

AJAX Loading Error
HTTP Status: 503 (Service Unavailable)
Internal status: error
XHR ReadyState: 4

Please try to reinstall Akeeba Backup. Just install the component over what is already there, do not uninstall first. If you uninstall, you will lose all your settings. I think you have a partial install of the component, that is why it is failing.

Thanks Dale, but not luck.
Did an install on the Pro (site/domain) - same problem
Did an Pro install on the Free (site/domain) - same problem
Sometimes it fails right away - if not it works until step "Backing up files"..and then fails.
- I tried excluding directories "Images" and other.. same problem.
- I tried changing from 127.00 MB to 64.00 MB - same problem.

Please ZIP and attach your log file. Without a log file we can't provide support for backup issues.

Hi Nicholas, no need - all working normal.

Last night I chatted with One.com support and we tried different setup's without luck - even had them check servers.. we did not solve the problem.

After I received your request here I ran a new backup to generate a log file for you.
It worked - backup ran normal.
I tried on the other domain/joomla installation/sql - backup ran normal
I changed settings (Part size/log settings) just to test again...
- Both sites made full backup successfully!

..your code is working fine - so this must relate to Host/server!?

PS:It is not possible to ftp from one ONE.COM server to another ONE.COM server. It would have been nice to make backup between environments.. if other one.com customers should wonder.
