Joomla! version: 2.5.14

MySQL version: (unknown)

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: I'm having an issue running a command line backup. It was previously working. Now, the email returns this error "Could not open /home/coffee/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup/site-marbella.directrouter.com-20131021-000004.j01 for writing. Check permissions and open_basedir restrictions."

Please advise, thanks.

The very first thing to check is if you have enough available space on your hosting account. Keep in mind that some hosts advertise "unlimited disk space" but since they don't have an unlimited disk, they are lying. :-)

OK thanks Dale. With no changes on my part, the command line backup began running properly after failing for two consecutive days. I am not sure if the host increased the "unlimited" disk space without my knowledge? I am just glad that the command line backup is working. Thanks for your reply.

If it goes south again just open another ticket. We'll be here.
