Hello,
I bought recement Akeeba backup pro and I want to automate my backups every night. In backup jobs, they are sent to dropbox and work very well. I installed XTCronjob, but I find no documentation to configure it. I am not an expert and I looked for examples, tutorials, but I found nothing. Could you help me? What should I use: Plugin (group event), SSH Command, Web Address fopen, fsockopen or CURL Web Address? and what should I put in UNIX Crontab? I can not log on to Enable Yes, why?
Thank you for all your answers.
Here are the parameters of my site:

the command line proposed by Akeeba :

/path/to/php /homepages/22/d147331251/htdocs/test/cli/akeeba-backup.php --profile=5

Many host providers allow you to set up a CRON job at the server level. This is a much better solution than the component you're using. Nothing against the component, they simply have to deal with limitations of the web environment that are not present on the server level. Your host can tell you if the CRON service is available on your hosting plan and how to set up the CRON job. I can't provide you with any help on XTCronjob, I am not familiar with it at all.

In your command example remember to substitute /path/to/php with the real path to your host's PHP CLI (Command Line Interface) executable. Do remember that you must use the PHP CLI executable; the PHP CGI (Common Gateway Interface) executable will not work with our CRON scripts. If unsure what this means, please consult your host. They are the only people who can provide this information.
