EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Backup failed with mysql error

Backup Failed
The backup operation has been halted because an error was detected.
The last error message was:

AEAbstractDump :: Database Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'OPTION SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1' at line 1 SQL=SET OPTION SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1

From my log (attached)
[140408 09:25:26] PHP WARNING on line 124 in file <root>/administrator/components/com_akeeba/akeeba/drivers/mysql.php:
[140408 09:25:26] mysql_close(): 32 is not a valid MySQL-Link resource information.

Backups of other sites hosted on the same server do not return the error

Thanks for your help,
Allister

PS actually my akeeba version is 3.6.12 I tried to update it but got the same mysql error

Akeeba Staff
Hello Allister,

the problem you reported has been fixed in latest versions.
First of all you have to disable System Restore Points, otherwise Akeeba will try to perform a backup, leading to the error you are already facing.

After that, install the latest stable version and try again.
Your problem should be resolved.
