Sometimes to save space, you might want to download backup files yet retain the backup information.

In the Manage Backups, if you download a backup file, click on the backup file and click 'Delete Files', it removes the backup file from the 'administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup' folder. If you upload the backup file to the 'administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup' folder, refresh the 'Manage Backups' page, it does not show status 'OK' but shows 'Obsolete'. The size still shows as "(378.47 Mb)".

I would have thought that it would reset the status to 'OK' and the size back to '378.47 Mb'. Is this by design or am I missing something?

The Manage Backups information is actually stored in the database. You need to update the table for that backup to show on the screen again. You update the table using the Discover and Import Archives button.

Dale,

OK, I got it figured out. The only 'minor' issue is that it creates a whole new record so I end up with the 'Obsolete' record and the new 'imported' record with the file for the 'Obsolete' record. I can get around this by changing the comments to reflect what the 'Obsolete' record shows. Not a biggie!

I'm glad you got it working.
