EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Hi,

I have just updated joomla from 3.2.3 to 3.3.1 and I installed Akeeba Backup pro. I have tried to add my ID for updates but when I add the ID in the field and click save or save & Close or cancel nothing happens. If I modify an article the save buttons work.

This is a prostar default template that I have installed recently (few weeks ago).

I have updated one other site to joomla 3.3 with similar issues with other extensions so I doubt this problem is an Akeeba issue alone. Fortunately I take regular Akeeba backups of my sites so I simple loaded an earlier backup and went back to 3.2.3 and everything worked correctly

I have search google to see why this issue is happening with Joomla 3.3 but can't find a sensible explanation. I am hoping that in sorting out this Akeeba Back Up issue it will show the way to fix the others, or is this a joomla problem? If it is then the Dev team is saying nothing.

Can you shed some light on the problem and help me fix the ID issue.

Kind Regards

Kerry

Clear your browser cache.

This is a Joomla! shortcoming I have been complaining about for ages! They change their Javascript but the filename remains the same. As a result the browser caches the old Javascript file which, of course, doesn't work with the HTML produced by the updated version of Joomla!. They just need to add a version tag in their files, just like we do with our own software. The workaround for you is to clear your browser cache and reload the page. And suddenly everything works.

Thanks Nicholas, worked. Got to wonder why a professional team like Joomla Dev can't fix a simple thing like that.

Kind Regards
