Hi, when I go to Manage backups, there is no restore button although the box "How do I restore my backups?' states to click on the restore button on the toolbar. The only option I get is a download. WHat am I missing? I used this button previously but not on this version or J4.

It's under the Actions drop-down button.

In Joomla! 3 we were using the old style (Joomla 3.2 and earlier) of toolbars where each button was displayed separately in the toolbar.

In Joomla! 4 and later we are using the new style of toolbars, where buttons are grouped under drop-down buttons.

This was done for two reasons.

It provides visual and UX consistency with the rest of Joomla's backend. This is important for new users.

In the past, the multitude of buttons caused the toolbar to overflow and appear in two rows (which become sticky at the top of the page). On some screen sizes, e.g. phones and small tablets in landscape mode, it made the visible content area a really narrow, virtually unusable strip. Having the toolbar back to a single row alleviates this problem.

I swear I looked there and didn't see it. It was a blank space. I now restored the site from the site's jet backup and the restore option appeared. Something I've done today must have conflicted with that. Thanks for your prompt reply.
