Hello Franz,

There is no such thing as an automated yearly billing. When your subscription is about to expire (30 and 15 days in advance) you will receive an email. You will then have to log in to our site and purchase a renewal manually. We do not store your credit card, so you'll have to enter the credit card information manually. If you want to use a different credit card, no problem. Since we don't store your credit card information it doesn't really matter to us if you use the same or a different card :)

Please note that as the email you receive tells you, if you renew before your subscription expires you get an automatic 30% discount. If your subscription expires and you haven't renewed you'll have to purchase a new subscription at full price. Renewing before your subscription expiration will NOT lose you any time: the renewal will become active as soon as your existing subscription expires.

PS: If you're wondering, there's a reason we don't store your credit card. Our verified Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance level is Merchant Level 4+. This means that we are verified to ask for your credit card information as long as this information does not touch our server, let alone be stored there. We are only allowed to request, process and store your personal information (name, email, address, business information), not your payment information (credit card number, CVC/CVV2 and expiration date). We achieve that with both payment options currently offered on our site with slightly different methods:
  • 2Checkout. When you select 2Checkout as the payment method (default) you are directed to their site. All the payment information you enter stays with them. They are a licensed and regulated payments processing corporation, so your data is secure (they're like a bank).
  • PayMill. Even though you do enter your CC information on a page on our site, the card information is sent from your browser to PayMill using Javascript. All we get back from PayMill is a unique transaction identifier (something like a receipt number) which only tells us if your payment completed successfully. The credit card information stays with PayMill which is a licensed and regulated payments processing corporation, so your data is secure (they're like a bank).
