Hi I am attempting to update Joomla from 3.4.8 to 3.5.1

I get error:There was an error communicating with the Joomla! package extraction script administrator/components/com_joomlaupdate/restore.php.

Files are just fine correct permissions etc.

Hope you have a direction for solution?

I'm sorry, I'm confused about what you are trying to do. Are you upgrading to Joomla! 3.5.x or restoring a backup? Are you trying to restore a 3.4.8 backup over a 3.5.1 site? I just need a little more info about what you are trying to do.

Just use CMS update to upgrade to 3.5.1

The CMS Update package has been discontinued and is no longer supported. See https://www.akeebabackup.com/home/news/1662-software-availability-changes-march-2016.html for more information about the change.

Please use Joomla!'s own update function. Note that you may need to enable the "Quick Icon - Joomla! Update Notification" plugin.
