I have a trashed website due to something the client did.  So I attempted to restore the most recent backup.  I fetched the remote file from Dropbox which went fine.  I clicked the checkbox, clicked restore but after clicking 'Next' on the initial page, I get his error.  I've attached a screenshot via Google Public folder as your Image Manager does not display an upload link.

FYI, this is the first restoration that has failed for me.  SAD!

Need help as the website home page is literally screwed up. https://alabamamcl.org/

I have documented this hosting issue since 2008. Nobody reads my documentation. SAD! 😉

(apologies for riffing off the post format; I think that after 42 tickets we know each other well enough for me to do that, right?)

Okay. Seriously, now. I have indeed documented it. Please read https://www.akeeba.com/documentation/akeeba-kickstart-documentation/kscantextract.html to understand what is wrong and https://www.akeeba.com/documentation/akeeba-kickstart-documentation/kstslive.html to learn what to do next.

Once you address this problem, most likely with a bit of help from your host to fix the ownership and permissions of files and folders, you can do the restoration again and have it complete to success.

Nicholas,

My apologies for not 'fully' reading your documentation.  Once I read what potentially could happen, space wasn't the issue as it was unlimited.  I reset the website by restoring the HTACCESS file, deleting the wp-activate.php and installation folder, so I could login. I ran the restoration again but this time I set the minimum execution time to 7 seconds and the maximum to 10 seconds.  Worked fine!

I'm glad it all worked out fine :)

Have a great day!
