Good Morning,

Β

I'm probably blind but I can't find information about restoring a running/working site back to an older backup. I've used Akeeba for years and years and have only used the Solo restore. I'd rather not have to go through the trouble of that method if there's a way within a working site to revert back to an older version.

Β

if you can point me in the right direction, that would be awesome!

Β

Thank you and have a great day,
Mike

It's hidden in plain sight :)

Go to the Manage Backups page. Look towards the top, right above the list of backup records. There's an info box with instructions and links to the video tutorial and the documentation page.

Basically, you go to that Manage Backups page, select the backup you want as long as its Status is listed as OK (green check), and click on Restore.

If the backup Status is listed as Remote (cloud in blue background), you will first need to click on the Manage Remote Files and click on the Fetch Back To Server button to get the backup archive file(s) back to your web server. Then, you will be able to select the backup and click on Restore.

Remember, backups listed as Obsolete (trashcan in gray background), Running (playback icon in yellow/orange background), or Failed (X on a red background) then it cannot be restored because the backup archive files have been deleted, the backup is still being taken, or the backup failed to complete respectively.
