Hi support team

I tried to restore a .jpl complete backup from a Joomla site on localhost with kickstart, but when going to the localhost front end, I get an "Error 404 category not found. The URL in the browser is automatically set to "https://localhost address/online address/index.php

I've never encountered this and wonder, where I possibly made an error? Do you have any hint on how to solve this?

Thanks for your support and all the best

Thomas

Hello,

please replace your current .htaccess file with Joomla default one, you should have a copy called htaccess.txt in the root of your site. Remember to test the new changes with your browser in incognito mode, since redirects are cached.

wow, this was the fastest support answer I ever got! :-) Thanks a lot, David! I already replaced the .htaccess file, but testing in incognito mode did the trick. Everything's fine now, even when going back to non-incognito mode. All the best and thanks again, Thomas
