Restore hands on final stage Updating .htaccess Problem showed up after upgrading to 5.0.4.

Site is tested for restore on every single upgrade. Permissions are correct.

If we go the the first window and click "Clean Up" the site comes on-line, but Akeeba Backup is not usable on the admin side.

Also, cannot find older releases for download, can you please send me a link to the 4.x version. Our current thought is that we remove Akeeba backup and reinstall the older version.

The older versions can be found here: https://www.akeebabackup.com/download/official/akeeba-backup.html.

This is the second report this afternoon. If the .htaccess file is renamed to .htaccess, the restore should be complete. What is wrong with 5.0.4 after the restore?

Well we removed the .htaccess BEFORE the backup just to make sure, same error.

If you go to the first window and Clean Up the site comes online. However,Akeeba Backup on the admin side is simply not usage. Is is plain text no buttons, etc. None of the hrefs do anything.

Forgot to mention, we also use Akeeba Admin PRO

So, we removed the 5.0.4 packages. Fresh install of 4.7.1. Site now restores properly. So, it appears you make have an issue on 5.0.4

I'll have to talk to Davide about it in the morning. I'll let you know what I find out.

Hello,

I just run some tests and it seems that backup restoration in 5.0.4 is broken due to a packaging issue.
However you can still restore your backups, you have to manually delete the files installation/platform/steps.php and installation/platform/iniprocess.php
That should do the trick, a new version is expected to be released soon.
