Hi,

we create a backup on an hosted system and wan't to transfer it in an XAMPP enviroment (Based on an Windows Server 2016), because it was used as in Intranet inside a city town hall.

The Versions you can see on top and harddiskspace was enough there (185 GB and no limit for inodes).

While importing the filedata with Kickstart we get an error with the following message
" An error occured: expected expression, got ')'.

These was after we update to Akeeba Backup Pro Version 5.6.3.
In the restore before we had create the Backupfile with Akee Akeeba Backup Verion 5.6.1, we get the Exception An Error occured: Syntaxerror.
Then i checked your support forum and found the info to update of Akeeba Version, but as you see - that doesn't helped.

Can you please try extracting the backup archive with Akeeba eXtract Wizard? We know that XAMPP has an issue which does cause this error to happen. It's because they are using the wrong threaded version of PHP. When you have lots of heavy in processing requests coming frequently -like during the extraction or taking a backup- you get random crashes in PHP. If you absolutely have to use XAMPP you will need to do the extraction with eXtract Wizard and then maybe the restoration will go through. Ideally you should use a more stable and correctly build server environment, e.g. MAMP for Windows.
